Had there Fried Chicken tonight for the first time and hands down best chicken I've had in a long time. There mashed potatoes and white gravy were like how my grandma use to make them. Thank u for great food and your staff was polite and friendly.

Great fried chicken!!! Called ahead and picked up 20 minutes later. Even tho they were packed full the lone waitress got my food to me as quickly as she could. Will definitely be calling again

The Tavern is a Diamond in the Rough! Try the Buffalo Chicken Horse Shoe or the Philly Cheesesteak with Mushrooms and Onions! You will not be disappointed.

I really like this establishment. It's small and the food is fantastic! It was clean and nice with clean restrooms. My party took up the whole bar basically but the waitress was great, drinks were made right, and I won 50 on the slot machines!!

Excellent food, even after being inside a paper sack for an hour. Chicken & the side dishes are excellent. Prices are lower than most other local establishments. Fast service.

Our 1st visit after receiving several recommendations. Clean and pleasant place, friendly and helpful staff with a good number of selections on the menu. Walleye and shrimp were great.

Lived in Springfield 35 years, first time here. Had the Horseshoe and it's easily one of the best in town! Wait staff was great and the inside was very welcoming. Families had their young ones with them and we'll be back with ours soon.
